An online retreat with group spiritual direction
Something is ending or has ended, and something new has not yet begun. This is a time of transition. A transition period is marked by different feelings, for example, excitement, anxiety, fear and confusion. This “in-between” time is also a time of discernment – waiting on God to show us where God is leading us. This time is also called a liminal space – a waiting space where we are changed by God if we let God in.
For many of us, asking for help does not come easily. Conditioned by our culture which promotes self-sufficiency and to keep moving forward, we are reluctant to pause and wait upon God. We may rush ahead into decisions and actions which may not give us the deep consolation nor assurance that we are moving in the right direction.
Spiritual companionship and direction can be a place where we find the courage to explore our interior life and grow in intimacy with God through our transitions. Through prayer and co-discernment, we open our hearts and minds to our God who meets us in the midst of transition.
The online retreat will be held in small groups and led by a Spiritual Director.
Mode: 1 in-person & 3 Zoom online sessions of 2 hours each
